Huayhuash circuit is one of the most spectacular walks of the Andes, the trip that is carried out by steep ways that overcome 4000 m.a.s.l. and come up to 5000 m. having very beautiful views of snow covered mountains, with multicolored lakes, rivers and crystalline streams, ravines of a green color proper of high Andean zone, it is true that the physical effort is strong but it is gratifying for the beauty of its sceneries. During this trip you can rest one day or more in some camping sites where you prefer to rest and have better views of the area around the campìng site.
Day 1: Huaraz – Llámac – Cuartelwain (4105 m.as.l.)
Day 2: Caurtelwain – Qaqanan pass (4700 m.a.s.l.) – Mitucococha lake (4230 m.a.s.l.)
Day 3: Mitucocha lake – Carhuac pass (4600 m.a.s.l.) – Carhuacocha lake * (4140 m..s.l.)
Day 4: Carhucocha – Siulá pass (4850 m.a.s.l.) – Huayhuash(4300 m.a.s.l.)
Day 5: Huayhuash – Portachuelo pass (4750 m.a.s.l.) – Viconga (4400 m.a.s.l.)
Day 6: Viconga – Cuyoc pass (5000 m.a.s.l.) – Guanacpatay (4300 m.a.s.l.)
Day 7: Guanacpatay – San Antonio Mirador (4850 m.a.s.l.) – Cutatambo * (4200 m.a.s.l.)
Day 8: Cutatambo – Huayllapa village (3600 m.a.s.l.)
Day 9: Huayllapa – Tapush pass (4800 m.a.sl.) – Qashpapampa (4450.m.a.sl.)
Day 10: Qashpapampa – Yahucha pass (4750 m.a.sl.) – Jahuacocha * (4070 m.a.s.l.)
Day 11: Jahuacocha – Pampa Llámac pass (4300 m.a.s.l.) – Llámac – Huaraz
